On February 16, 2017, more than 5,000 people took to the streets in Lima, demanding their country to punish corruption, especially the accused senior government officials.
From the banners and placards they were holding, it could be told that they despised graft as a tumor of the society, which had impeded the country from further development.
Peru’s high-level graft can be sourced to Brazil’s infrastructure giant Odebrecht, whose executives allegedly bribed 3 former presidents and several ministers for favor of business.
