Mind the gap: Crowd push carriage to save elderly woman trapped on Guangzhou subway
A crowd of passengers was on hand to push a subway train’s carriage at a Guangzhou metro station to help rescue an elderly woman, whose right leg got stuck in between the carriage and platform.
The incident occurred on Sunday in Guangzhou, south China’s Guangdong Province.
As passengers pushed the carriage to relieve the pressure on the 72-year-old, subway staff greased her leg to get her out of the gap.
Thanks to all these good Samaritans, the elderly woman was rescued with only slight bruising on her leg.
