In 2014, Emmanuel Macron was appointed by French President Francois Hollande as Economy Minister. At that point in time, the country’s economy had experienced zero growth for three years.
Macron was pro-business and pro-European Union. He even lobbied American as well as EU scientists, academics, and entrepreneurs to move to France. One of his biggest accomplishments was what is known as the “Macron Law”. It steered the government towards more business-friendly policies.
