Chinese doctors use stem cells to effectively treat cataracts in children
Doctors in China’s Sun Yat-Sen University announced successful trials to activate stem cells in the eye, leading to the growth of a new lens that can be used to treat cataracts in children. Having already regenerated blood from stem cells, this scientific breakthrough is the first time doctors have succeeded in making stem cells regenerate into a part of the eye.
